Steven has a broad commercial practice  with a particular emphasis on insolvency, civil fraud, business litigation and property .  He is also a member of XXIV Old Buildings’ niche aviation team. 

Following his secondment early on in his career to a firm in the British Virgin Islands, he has built up considerable international and offshore experience, with many of his cases having a cross-border element.

Steven’s mathematical and scientific training before he came to the Bar give him a particular advantage in dealing with complex financial transactions and technical expert issues.

He regularly appears in the Chancery Division and Commercial Court as well as overseas, being called to the Bar of the Eastern Caribbean in 2000.

Recommendations:
In 2008 Steven Thompson was once again "singled out for praise" for his aviation work in Legal 500.  He is also recommended in Chambers and Partners/2009 for insolvency work.
